CUTE Flower Barrettes

Found these cute flowers....for hair...on good 'ole Martha's website. I thought these would be cute in little girl's hair or even on a hat...imagine a darling knit beanie with one of these on it! Here is the link on how to make them, and I believe there is also a video as well. I will have to try these!

A ZIPPERED Pillow....

OK...so I have done the pillows where the two panels in the back overlap...and you can slide the pillows in & out. This design makes for an EASY time washing when the "design" pillow covering gets dirty. BUT - now....here's the "zippered" pillow treatment. And yes, "zippered" just officially became a word. Like...right now! :) One Pretty Thing posted this pillow tutorial found here. Enjoy!

L'il Sundress for Your Kid-let!!

U Create found this tutorial a few days ago...and after checking out how this gal explained HOW to make it....I figured it's something I could follow! Plus - it's SUPER cute.....AND I am just sure we will have a ton of girls when we start having kiddos...am I jinxing myself??

Soap Cubes

While in the process of decorating my home for less....I could use an idea like this....homemade soap that is also quite decorative. Find a pretty container (we have tons of different types of glass that we used for our wedding) mix up the concoction discussed HERE, and fill 'er up....WALA!!

Yeah....actually, I am sure it's a little bit trickier than that, but it sounds like something I would like to attempt at least once.

Fry Box?? WhAt??

Yep...I am pretty sure this is a FRY box!! I attended a recent class at Heartland Paper....teaching us how to use our Silouette machines....and these were the free Make & Takes we did. Apparently, our machines will cut out the templates! As cute as the flower is....I just don't think you can cover up the fact that this is a FRY box! Seriously, I was craving some yummy McDonald's fries as I was making this! No joke! :) But, hey....that is one STINKIN' cute flower!

Awww....My Gi-NOR-mous Tile....

Is ginormous even a word?? If it was...the definition would be the HUGE tile I purchased last summer on a whim....which then sat in our bedroom cuz I had no clue what to do with it! I then stumbled across a brilliant idea that I found on Adhering Thoughts blog...and WA-LA...

This is in our Master Bedroom....LOVE the saying, LOVE the key, and my gi-NOR-mous tile now has a home! What a happy ending! :)

Candles, Candles, & MORE Candles....

LOVE candles!! Just a Girl did a tutorial a while back on her candles. I had previously done a version of what she did....but I liked her take on it...and tried it out....here's the results......

These are in our Master bedroom....we are going for a "SPA" feel.....beige, tan, brown, white, and a soft blue color...

These are in our Master Bathroom....they are a little beat-up, I need to fix them! These are the candles I had done previously....they were actually on display at Jamie's sister's wedding in October.... I really need to change out the metal saying on the right and put a smaller one in....hmmmm....maybe when I get my NEXT burst of creative energy!

These wild candles are in our guest bedroom. I am LOVIN' how funky they are!! It's a black & white room...with a splash of this gorgeous green color! This is the room I made curtains for....I will have to take pics of those soon! The scrapbooking paper matched the curtains exactly! I was SUPER excited about that!

My "Lucky" Book....

Before Jamie & I were married...I made him this little book to show him how much I ADORE him. It's now being proudly displayed on our kitchen during this "LUCKY" month of March.

We sure look young, huh! These were all "pre-marriage" days. I might need to do another one next year with more updated photos.

My St. Patty's Project..

So...I fell in LOVE with a piece of St. Patrick's Day scrapbooking paper. Yep, I know that sounds weird...but it's TRUE! I purchased the paper about a month and a half ago....and wanted to do something cute-sy with it. I decided to showcase it in our kitchen window....and put it in a frame. Here's the end result....AND it's not done. In the top left-hand corner, it's going to say, "KISS ME" in white....and in a whispy font....it will say "I'm Irish" in GREEN on top of that...vinyl, of course!

Here's a closer shot at the scrapbooked part. My favorite paper is the one in the background..oooohhhhh! Super cute! And yep....another wedding photo! Aaauugghh! I need to get all the NEW pics on our camera developed! Sighhhh....well, I still FEEL like a newlywed...if that counts?!? I will post another craft I did tomorrow....

LOVED the Movie....and LOVE the Hat!!

The "NEWSIE" Hat

Seriously!! My sisters and I even choreographed a DANCE to one of the songs for a Talent Show! We would watch the movie over and over....and it was even a FAVORITE throughout my college days. I think I may STILL have a VHS copy! :)

U Create found a tutorial on HOW to make this adorable hat. One of my students has been coming to school each morning wearing a similar style....I am SURE he is getting sick of me telling me how much I LOVE his hat! Tee, hee! Well, here it is, folks....Mushroom Villagers came up with a tutorial.

I am ALWAYS looking for inexpensive ways to decorate for special occasions! I found a cute tissue paper flower idea a while back...and NOW One Pretty Thing highlighted THIS tutorial....flowers made outta crepe paper. I like the "spiky" tips....kinda sassy!

Skip To My Lou created this delicious....and unhealthy (her words) sack lunch outta felt. How fun! I guess this really is the "rage" right now! Felt food...who knew!?!

Need A Baby Shower Gift??

Look at these SUPER cute burp cloths!! Be Different...Act Normal found this...I can't take ALL the credit!! Found HERE...she gives an extremely detailed tutorial. Seriously, it's like Sewing 101 AKA Sewing for Non-Sew-ERs.....and I would have to put myself in that category! Tee, hee. I am sooo gonna make these when I am preggers.....and not a day sooner. (And NO...that is not an announcement!)

Simple Homemade Boxes

So Lovely Creations came up with an inexpensive solution to her storage issues....in her craft room! She was able to keep the cost down and create fun boxes to match her PINK room! She walks you thru the process....if you are wanting to do the same craft!

Ripped Jeans...Be GONE!!

I love the style of ripped jeans....yep, I am one of those! I have only bought one pair of jeans with the holes already in it....and the rest....they were worn in naturally!! My parents & my adorable favorite aunt would always ROLL their eyes when they saw me wear them. I laughed when they went over the policies during one of my faculty meetings...stating that we needed to discourage our students from wearing ripped jeans to school!! Hmmmm....hypocritical, much!?! How could I get after them....when that's what I wear on the weekends??

I am sure I will grow out of it one day....and I really don't think it's stylin' when little girls are sporting that look! So - the solution to holes in kiddo pants....caught my eye! U Create found this on Koala Brains. Seriously, she finds the COOLEST ideas! Thanks, girly!

Baby Fever...

So Lovely Creations posted about some of her favorite nurseries! How delightful.....AND creative are some people?? Nurseries AKA baby's rooms...makes me think of soft things and sweet dreams!! These are SOME of my favorites that she found...

Seriously, when...(not IF)...I have a little girl....I am SO gonna make these little outfits for her! One Pretty Thing had this craft highlighted the other day. Found HERE....dang she is a crafty gal! She wrote a great tutorial AND you get to see her l'il one IN this dress....SUPER cute!!

Ooooohhhh...Mini-Fashionista!!

U Create featured Pink Fig Patterns on her blog a while back and I just about gasped! If I had a l'il girl....she would SOOOOO be wearing this outfit...like....tomorrow!! This is my favorite pattern.....(above)...and if you like this one...she has P.L.E.N.T.Y. more where that came from! Did I mentioned that I have recently BROKEN out the sewing machine?? Yep, I just whipped up some curtains (for our guest bedroom) and some pillows (for our master bedroom)....Uhhh-Huuhhhh!! My husband came home, saw me sewing, and made the comment, "Who ARE you??" Tee, hee! AnYwAy...when I graduate from sewing straight lines.....{WINK}....I would LOVE to try one of her patterns! Totally in love with these patterns!

A Few Simple Card Ideas...

Fairy Blossoms & Life came up with a few simple card ideas that I really liked. I am not big into "Stampin' It Up"....too expensive......(unless it's your job)....SO....I try to collect ideas that I can use when I am really crunched for time....and need to just WHIP up a card.

An ART Party!!

Crafty Crow highlighted this FUN idea.....how about an ART PARTY!! Found at Playful Learning...what a clever idea!! I would love to turn this into a classroom party for my students!! What a FUN theme....I have a pretty hands-on group this year, I bet they would LOVE it!!

Puppets, Anyone??

Puppets ALWAYS make me think of the movie, Sound Of Music.....tee, hee! My Sis-In-Law was telling me about a puppet that they were helping my niece make for school...and I told her that I saw a CUTE Puppet Theater highlighted on U Create....and that I would post it for her to look at. HOW FUN is this? You can make it outta cardboard! Crafty Pod walks you thru the tutorial.

Peacock Paper Bag...Kid's Craft!!

Maybe it's the bright colors....maybe I LOVE peacock feathers...maybe I am around my 24 students TOO much....whatever it is, this cute craft caught my eye! Flipflops & Applesauce made this with her darling kiddos. I really liked the patterned paper she used!

MIA?!? Yep, That's ME!!

I know, I know...I have been Missing In Action for a while. Kinda missed my daily keyboarding therapy!! We have been crazy-busy trying to get our home ready for potential buyers to walk through. Ugh! Stranger walking through MY home! Sounds delightful!! I may have to post a pic of our house...I bet you would ALL fall in love wid it! I have to admit....we did a dang good job picking everything out....when building!! But - time to move on....

In the meantime, here is my latest craft...which we will be making at our next Craft Club night! Isn't my hubby SUPER cute!! Yep, I agree! I have been antsy wanting to do this craft. Hope ya'll like it!

And NO....it's not for Valentine's Day...{{GASP!!}}...this matches the color scheme in our Living Room....which I absolutely LOVE after our l'il makeover! I substituted the hearts for a big flower on another frame I have...and it looks just as cute!!

I am going to add a vinyl saying in white....to put in the top left-hand corner that says, "LOVE"...and then there will be a wispy font in dark red vinyl going across it that will say, "Always & Forever." It's ordered.....YEA!!
