Potty Trainin' Chart....OH and HELP NEEDED!

My cuz, Charlene made the CUTEST Potty Training Chart for her little girl....and I just HAD to showcase it!!  Isn't it adorable!?!

NOW - here's where the "help needed" part comes in. {LOL}  

She is at a loss for what actually WORKS!!  She found three great books about Potty Training in a Day....but she doesn't know which one to use or what would help her to help her l'il girl.  

I know there are some AMAZING moms who read this blog and I am hoping you guys might have some FAB suggestions that I can pass along to her.  What worked for you??

Jumbo Crayons....with a TWIST!!

Looks SOOOO good...you could almost EAT them!! Oh, WAIT....you CAN eat them! Brooke over at Crafting Chicks posted about the edible crayons she made as a Back-to-School treat for her kiddos. I LOVE that she Photoshopped the wrappers with her kid's names on them! The lady's got talent! She used the instructions from THIS website.

Another Neat QUIET Book...

I have posted about Quiet Books before...but I really liked this one as well. PLUS - it reminded me of the one MY mom made for us when I was a kid! U Create found this post on Naptime Journal's blog about where she found this inspiration for her book. A lot of her ideas came from coloring books that she already had. To DIE for cookies!! Seriously, this is one of my NEW favorites! Baby Showers will be a CINCH from now on with all of these ideas!!

A Kiddo ART Table!!

Design Dazzle found this idea on Martha's website on how to turn a regular kid's table into an ART table...complete with a mounted paper roll!! LOVE this idea! My family had those HUGE paper rolls growing up and we loved to write on them....but THIS idea makes it SOOO much easier!!

Dress UP Yer Draw-ers...

So...IMAGINE I just said the title with a drawl....cuz I totally did!! Nanny Goat has SUCH fun ideas....this recent post of theirs was SO dang simple, yet it could make quite the statement in a little girl's room....they went from THIS:

HA! Great, huh! Lately I am into HOT PINK....maybe because I just did my "SPRING" blocks and I have pink on the brain. So, I can totally see hot pink flowers on a set of white drawers in a little girl's room.....OR a soft baby pink for a newborn. Awwwww....
(Holly...you should totally do this for Emma's room!!{WINK!})

Shhhhh....It's SUNDAY!!

Growing up...my siblings & I were taught that Sunday was a day of REST! We refrained from any crazy activities (wrestling, water fights, etc.), we did not run errands, nor did we go shopping, we didn't watch TV, we did not do our homework...YES - that can get kinda crazy.....(we would finish it beforehand) ...and I am sure you get the picture. Some might say that's boring...but I really can't say that thought ever crossed my mind. I remember having heart-to-heart chats with my mom, writing in my journal, sitting in the sun (with a kitten on my lap) reading my scriptures, listening to AND teaching Christ-centered lessons during our family meetings. Sundays were PEACEFUL!

I saw this idea on this blog.....who found it on Homemaking Fun's blog. We don't have any children yet - but when we do....I want them to have the same wonderful experiences that I did when Sunday rolled around. I really appreciated this idea because it is teaching children to keep the Sabbath Day holy. I am sure this idea will help a lot of stressed out mothers....good luck, ya'll!!

A "CREEPY-CRAWLY" Night of Fun!!

Homemaking Fun came up with a fun way for her & her children to spend the night together. She put together a "BUG" themed night! From creepy-crawly yummy snacks, to a bug art project, and then ending with watching The Ant Bully....it sounded like such fun! She even created labels for the drinks...that said "BUG JUICE" and made awards for the finished art projects. (She gives you the link for that...) Thanks for providing us for ideas to keep the youngsters entertained and happy! :)

Days of the Week Tags...Part 2

Flipflops & Applesauce wrote a post about THIS find. I did one a while back....but I liked the bright colors that Living Locurto used. This is an idea she came up with to keep her son organized and ready for school. They pick out clothes for each day of the week and hang them on a low rack for him to reach. She designed some cute tags to hang on each outfit. Each tag has the day of the week....read the rest of her post for another cute idea that they do the night before....with the clothes. She also has the tags in pastel colors.

Homemaking Fun posted this on her blog...and I wanted to put it in my "archive" for the future. She found it on Executive Homemaker...and I am not surprised! One of my FAVS....Laurie from Tip Junkie...heads that up. So....Homemaking Fun's chilluns filled Easter eggs with goodies & sprinkled it across a friend's lawn....and left the sign. What a FUN thing to open up your door to! We need more things like this going on right now in the world! You can get a downloadable sign here.

I think you could make this on a bigger scale....and get some DARLING results! I just might have to do this with my students! One Pretty Thing highlighted this in one of their "Round-Ups." Found on Martha ....she has a few tricks up her sleeve!

An ART Party!!

Crafty Crow highlighted this FUN idea.....how about an ART PARTY!! Found at Playful Learning...what a clever idea!! I would love to turn this into a classroom party for my students!! What a FUN theme....I have a pretty hands-on group this year, I bet they would LOVE it!!

Puppets, Anyone??

Puppets ALWAYS make me think of the movie, Sound Of Music.....tee, hee! My Sis-In-Law was telling me about a puppet that they were helping my niece make for school...and I told her that I saw a CUTE Puppet Theater highlighted on U Create....and that I would post it for her to look at. HOW FUN is this? You can make it outta cardboard! Crafty Pod walks you thru the tutorial.

Peacock Paper Bag...Kid's Craft!!

Maybe it's the bright colors....maybe I LOVE peacock feathers...maybe I am around my 24 students TOO much....whatever it is, this cute craft caught my eye! Flipflops & Applesauce made this with her darling kiddos. I really liked the patterned paper she used!
