Kiddo "General Conference Baskets"

I know, I know...this is a blog to collect CRAFT ideas...well, since I am 'de one and only author...I am going to change things up a little. I really like this IDEA...and MUST file it. I will just put it out there - I have an absolutely TERRIBLE memory...thus....if I don't write things down (or blog about it)...it will quickly be forgotten!
If you are LDS and have little children, then you should check out this post...which is where I FOUND the idea AND this link will give you TONS more ideas to help prepare your children to listen to the words of our prophet and leaders.

OOOOhhhhh BaBy...Shower!!

I really didn't realize how MUCH I love pink...until I started really getting into crafting!! I love this idea found at Creative Holiday Gift Ideas.

She ordered these booties, hair accessories and binky clip from the Pixie Patch, put them in this glass jar that she can use to keep all her little accessories in (she got it at WalMart for $2.86), tied a ribbon and attached some tags....INSTANT baby shower present!

Create Your OWN Conversation Hearts...

Cupcake Card...

I was looking for CARD ideas...I have to make 42 cards by tomorrow....leave it to ME to put off making cards for this 'lil card exchange....and found THIS! Love, Love, Love it! Sunny Stampin' would be the brains behind this creation.

Potty Training, AnYoNe??

I am certainly not...don't you have to have kids to be doing that? {WINK!} I was still lovin' the creativity and wanted to bookmark this one. Jamie from Crafting Chicks started her own Digital Scrapbooking blog...and is kind enough to share her "Potty Training" Charts with us all.

Valentine Treat Tote Tutorial...

Isn't this adorable?

Over at Sunny Stampin' - the NICE gal posted a VIDEO on how to make this 'lil tote. I LOVE it when people take time to share their talents! I think you can have several "takes" on this project...and create it for any holiday or occasion. Fun stuff, huh!

Crayon Rolls..

I have seen these "Crayon Rolls" everywhere...but I guess I was just waiting for the right FABRIC to catch my eye! DAH-LING! Found this over at Crafting Chicks and they used the instructions from Skip to My Lou. Such a great idea to throw in the diaper bag!

Gift for Neighbors...

Yep, Christmas is OVER...but I really liked how she typed up the instructions & packaged it! I found this over at Our Cozy Nest...there are MORE instructions there!

The "No-Sew" Quiet Book!

Our Cozy Nest created a "No-Sew" quiet book for her kids to use during church. I thought it was DARLING and wanted to file her idea away. She has even more pics on her blog. She said it was a lot of cutting and coloring, but it has held up for THREE years and was totally worth it.

It doesn't have to be churchy. She also found some great FREE file folder games here at Preschool Printables. These are great because you can print them out in color if you really don't want to take the time to color them. This site has both religious and non religious file folder games. She got all of hers out of this book.....

Glass Etching...

This gal has a blog called Super Saturday and if you are interested in etching your glass dishes...you should check her out! I have seen this all over the internet...and she sells the vinyl templates. See here.

This is what she says:

"Whoever came up with this idea is a genius! I love having my name on my dishes so I will never lose them at a pot luck or when I give dinner to another family. This is so easy to do.

All you need is a vinyl stencil with your name on it, etching cream (Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream - Permanent), paint brush, and your Pyrex dish.

You put your stencil on your glass. Paint your etching cream on the glass showing in your stencil. (put a lot on there, so you know it is working) Wait 25 minutes and wash off. Peel your vinyl off and wash with Windex and you're done.

Easy, Easy Easy! This is a great gift for anyone. For all those non-crafters, this is the perfect Super Saturday idea. The etching will not go away when you bake it or wash it. It is permanent!"

MoRe V-Day Cards...

Seriously, I should just GIVE my money away to Heartland Paper....I SHOP there so much! Here's some darling cards you can make for the upcoming holiday of LOVE!! Enjoy!

Homemade Valentine's...

LoVe Laurie over at Tip Junkie! She complies all sorts of FUN tips and shares them with all of us! SO NICE of her!! Her last post was all about Homemade Valentines...I decided to "file" my favorites over here. Enjoy!

Crafting Chicks mass-produced these tags for her family one year. I thought they were pretty cute!

Go Make Something created a tutorial on how to make this nifty card using PAINT SAMPLES! Seriously, how creative is that? I would change it up a little bit...but I LOVED the idea!

Alisa made this card below...I think that the dirt under the tiny fingernails is what REALLY caught my eye! How precious! (Her son is holding the card.)

Elaine's Creations designed the lovely mailbox below.

Jen made this cute mailbox below AND....when I checked it out...I absolutely LOVED her little cards...so I am posting those as well!

CUTE, HUH!!

CUTE Teacher Present...

"Just A Girl" made some V-Day presents for teachers. BEING a teacher....I can tell you that HAND SANITIZER is a MUST...thus I loved the idea! BUT - you can easily use this idea for ANY occasion and turn it into a present...just scrapbook/decorate the outside of hand soap, lotion, etc. She gives more details if you click on the link above. Have fun!

TIME OUT!!

"It's All In My Head" made these clocks as a gift. What I LOVE about this particular clock...is the SAYING on it! As soon as Parent-Teacher Conferences are over....in two weeks...some g-friends & I are tackling making HUGE clocks for our home...I believe I will "whip" up a saying like this with my lovely Silhouette...so Jamie can be GLAD he gave me one!! If you want the exact design above...she went thru...http://www.myvinyldesigner.com/. Have FUN making one! I sure will..and I will be posting pics of the final project...just don't expect to see it for about a month!

Oh Wait...It's NOT the Fall???

I know, I know...it's WINTER...but this is STILL an adorable idea for me to put in my lil file box!! Found it over at "It's All In My Head."

SHE found this cute pumpkin bag on http://crafts.kaboose.com/paper-bag-pumpkin.html ...these would be really great for a party bag or table decoration!!! Since I teach school, I am thinking it's a GREAT craft for my kiddos!

What you'll need:
1 brown paper lunch bag
Acrylic paint: orange and leaf green
Paintbrush
¼ sheet brown construction paper
6- 12” pieces of green raffia
Scissors

How to make it:
Paint the outside of the lunch bag with orange paint.
Paint the inside, top portion of the bag with leaf green paint. (See photo.)
Paint a second coat of orange paint on the bag, only this time, paint the top outside portion with the leaf green-colored paint.
When paint is completely dry, fringe the green section of the bag with your scissors, strips should be approximately ½” – 1” wide.
Fill bag with crumpled newspaper (if using as a decoration) or candy and treats.
Gather top of bag with your hand and tie a piece of raffia around it, just below the green section.
Continue tying pieces of green raffia around the neck of the bag until all of it has been used.
Cut a 1.5” wide strip of brown construction paper and roll up into a tube.
Insert the tube of paper into the center of the green portion of the bag as the stem.
If these bags are used as decoration, you can glue the stem in place.

Football Brownies

I mostly LOOK for crafty things that I can create to decorate my home OR gift ideas OR holiday ideas....well, It's All In My Head showcased a cute FOOD item that would've come in handy when my hubby had his football buddies over to watch the BIG 'ole games! {{I am NOT a cook...so it's amazing that this caught my eye!}} I just know my man would love it...and anything to make him smile is worth a try! Enjoy:

She found the recipe for these cute Football Brownies on http://www.bettycrocker.com/
These would be great for a Super Bowl Party.

1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
3 eggs
Football-shaped cookie cutter, 3 1/2x2 inches
1 container (1 lb) Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy chocolate frosting
Betty Crocker® white decorating icing (from 4.25-oz tube)
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, letting foil hang 2 inches over short ends of pan. Spray foil with cooking spray
2. In medium bowl, stir brownie mix, chocolate syrup, oil, water and eggs until well blended. Spread in pan.
3. Bake 28 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
