Heartland Paper Has DONE it again!

I LOVE these "WISH" blocks that were created to celebrate BIRTHDAYS...I ordered the blocks and I am going to do it on my own...

Check out the "KISS" blocks for Valentine's Day...I am not too crazy about the SHAPE of the "k"...but other than that I really like them!

Days of 'De Week HANGERS...

I found this on "You Can Make It" blog. I remember growing up...and picking out my clothes the night before during the week. It was always a struggle. My poor mom! I thought I was SUCH a fashionista! I just KNEW what looked spectactular...and I was determined to wear some items of clothing AND not wear other items (specifically a RED overall outfit...which I NOW think is DARLING!) I LOVE the idea of hanging all of the clothes for the week up PRIOR to the week happening! This way...you save time trying to figure out what to wear. Will I really implement this idea? Probably not...but I sure love it...and wouldn't be against putting it into practice when we have kids! This link has labels you can actually print out. Enjoy!

Gift Baskets GALORE!!

Heartland Paper is impressing me MORE & MORE!! I am LOVING these Gift Baskets they put together…and I think every one of them is wonderful! I can’t wait to create one of these for an upcoming birthday! So fun, useful (expecially the chocolate one, huh…), and EXTREMELY pleasing to the eye! Here are the images and details of the gift ideas shown on the show “Studio 5” this week. Each basket has a tag with instructions so you can have fun making these at home.

THE PEDICURE BASKET: Plastic basket. Includes a base of cotton balls, comfy flip flops, foot scrub and lotion, foot massager, files, toe separators, and scrub brush.
Place all items in plastic basket with cotton balls in the bottom to lift things up. Tie ribbons around handles of basket. Tie tag on with same ribbons.

THE PEDICURE BASKET TAG: Green cardstock tag, foot die cut, pink marker, diamond glaze, white paper printed with "Wishing you and your toes a Happy Birthday!", small strip of patterned paper, distressing ink, pink flower, button.

Instructions: Paint toes of foot die cut with pink marker. Put diamond glaze on each toe to make shiny. Ink all pieces with distress ink and glue together. Place flower and button beneath writing. Tie onto basket.


THE SCRAPPY BASKET: Scrapping storage piece filled with scrapping supplies. We used clear stamps, inks, and tools that all coordinate together.


THE SCRAPPY BASKET TAG: Green Cardstock, Blue Cardstock printed with "Hope you have a Happy, Scrappy Birthday", ribbon for tying, circle punch and scalloped circle punch.

Instructions: cut one scalloped circle from green cardstock, cut straight circle from blue cardstock- flip punch over to center circle around words. Adhere circles together. Tie onto basket with coordinating ribbon.


THE TWILIGHT (or other book) BASKET: Box covered in coordinating pattern paper, soft throw blanket, Twilight paper back book, apple, bookmark


THE TWILIGHT (or other book) TAG: Red Cardstock, Three pieces of Gray Cardstock printed with "Have a Dazzling Birthday", "The forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest...But not as sweet as Birthday Cake", and "If anyone asks how old you are, just say you've been 17 for... awhile!", wire, glue dots, distressing ink, circle punch and scalloped circle punch.

Instructions: cut six scalloped circles from redcardstock, cut straight circles from gray cardstock- flip punch over to center circle around words. Adhere circles together. Wrap wire around pen to curl. Sandwich two red circles around wire with glue dot. Place in basket in various areas so that sayings show.


THE CHICK FLICK BASKET: Plastic basket with ribbon tied on handle. Chick Flick movie, comfy slippers, pop, candy, popcorn.


THE CHICK FLICK BASKET TAG: Black cardstock, white cardstock printed with "Hope you have a birthday filled with Romance, Comedy, Adventure, and Drama...with a Happily Ever After Ending!", strip of striped paper, ribbon for tying, circle punch, distress ink.


Instructions: Cut black cardstock to 3X5 inches. Cut white cardstock (around words) to 2 3/4 X 4 3/4 inches. Using circle punch, punch out corners of both pieces to create a ticket effect. Ink all edges. Adhere white to black and then strip across bottom. Tie ribbon around strip and then tie to basket with lots of ribbons.



THE CHOCOLATE BASKET: Plastic basket with ribbon tied on handles and vinyl lettering around that says "eat chocolate". Inside: Chocolate of all kinds!


THE CHOCOLATE BASKET TAG: Brown Cardstock Tag, Patterned paper Cut to fit tag, "Wishing You a Super Sweet Birthday" printed on white cardstock,Hershey kiss diecut with Happy Birthday flag, red heart, distress ink, curled wire, ribbon for tying.

Instructions: Ink all pieces. Layer together with adhesive. Tie onto curled wire that is attached to basket so that it hangs from handle above chocolate. Tie with fun ribbons.

Vinyl On Tile.....can we EVER get enough??

Check out the tile with the RED ribbon on it and a key. Can we say DAH-LING?? We have a HUGE tile in our room that I have been trying to figure out what to do with....I am TOTALLY using this idea! I found this on Adhering Thoughts blog.

She printed out a batch of stationary, greeting cards, gift tags and labels for her sister's Christmas present, and made her personalized address labels in MS Word. Her friend, Bonnie, made a greeting card binder for her grandma. She divided it by month and included cards, envelopes with postage, and address labels for all the family birthdays and holidays. Every Christmas, she refills the binder.

WHAT a GREAT idea!!

Crib Bumper...

Oooohhh! Pink, pink, and more pink!! "You Can Make It" had a tutorial posted on how to make baby bumpers for the crib. When I clicked on the link...I was a little bummed on how few pics there were (I am SOOOOO visual) but then I saw the final pic and LOVED it...so I am gonna put this one in my lil file box!

A Wrappin' Good Time!

"Over The Tipsy Top Design" blog has some FABULOUS ideas! My last post was about them...and so is this one! I TOTALLY want to do this next Christmas! Here's what they do...

"Grab all your Christmas packages your favorite soda and treats and head on over to your girlfriends house to wrap the night away in style!! This is exactly what we get to do in our neighborhood. Our darling neighbor hosts a wrapping party, after all the kids are tucked in we sneak out and wrap into the wee hours with one another. She will even store any gifts we want to hide down in her basement!!! She has all kinds of wrap and ribbon but of course we can also bring our own!!! Seriously this is the best holiday party, it gets you and your purchases organized. No more all night Christmas Eve wrapping!!!! Girlfriends, treats, laughing, fun all night long, really what could be better!!!! Have a great time! Plan this one now!!!!"

A Shop-A-Licious Tradition

I saw this tradition on "Over the Tipsy Top Design" blog. LOVED it!! Here's what she said:

"For almost 20 years my mom and her three best friends have taken their daughters the weekend before Thanksgiving shopping together. For some of us it is the only time of year we see each other and we now anticipate it all year long!!! I have had many girlfriends copy this tradition with their sisters and friends. We start first thing Friday morning, then we all meet Friday night at the Hotel for food, matching pajamas, games, and memorable mom entertainment!! Somehow over the years the production the moms create gets better and better. This year it was Dancing with the Stars and the Dads made a guest appearance!! Sister-in-laws are always included and granddaughters are initiated into the group at 12 years old. We have about four granddaughters now, who were inducted by candle light and shopping cash from grandmas. It is a tradition that all the granddaughters anticipate and look forward to.
This is a tradition that will make memories for a lifetime. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you want it to be. Find the time to make these memories, it is worth the effort!!!"

Isn't that touching! I know it's SHOPPING....but it can also be bonding time.

Craftin' To My Heart's Content....

I finished FOUR crafts on Friday night while my hubby was watching the Utah game with buddies! So here it is...my crafts in all their GLORY! These were the projects I was determined to complete before going back to work. A scrapbooked calendar, a muffin-tin Christmas Advent Countdown Calendar (I also made one for my sis-in-law....but this one I am going to keep), a scrapbooked Phone & Address Book, and a scrapbooked Christmas Frame.

So - on this craft....do you think I should leave it simple like the pic above....OR...

...add a few embellishments like the heart & poinsetta?? I also have a few more things I could add....I am just a little stuck...but kinda leaning towards adding more...HELP!

My Christmas Countdown...recognize this? I bought the kit at Heartland.

I actually found a REALLY neat puzzle you can cut apart and put with each day for little children. It reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas and it has a scripture and an activity for the kids to do each day....I think you can find it under the "Christmas" label to the right OR maybe the "Kids" label.

My favorite layout in our calendar....I still need to add the pictures. Hmmmm...which month do you think this is??

I added birthdays, holidays, date nights, special occasions, & "Chef Tara" nights to each month.

There you have it....my BUSY night.....and now I think I need to get my back adjusted!! {WINK!}

A "Twist" on the Turkey...

Is my sense of humor warped?? I know it's WAY past Thanksgiving...but I saw this on "Tipsy's" Blog...and had to snag a pic to remember it for next year! Super cute!
